Could you be a UHBW Governor?

University Hospitals Bristol and West are looking for new members to join the Trust's membership and Council of Governors.

Governors play a key role at UHBW in helping to guide the development of services, holding non-executive directors to account and representing the views of members.

UHBW’s next round of Elections to our Council of Governors closes on Monday 3rd March 2025 at 5pm. Please have a look at the dedicated webpage for this year’s elections. You can nominate yourself by going to the nominations page and completing the form you will find there. Members will vote in a ballot in March 2025.

Improving your care while waiting for surgery

Our work with a local hospital trust has led to a range of measures to improve the experiences of people on a waiting list for surgery. Keeping people updated about their place on a list and taking personal needs (such as housing and social support) into consideration are two of the steps that are being taken.
